Riverside Park Handrail Project
Kite Group installed a black powder-coated DDA handrail system at Riverside Park in Fife, ensuring safe, compliant, and accessible walkways and staircases for all visitors.
Project Overview
Riverside Park in Glenrothes required a safe and accessible handrail solution to improve visitor safety across walkways, sloped areas, and staircases. The priority was to ensure inclusivity for children, elderly visitors, and those with additional mobility needs, while blending seamlessly into the natural landscape.
Kite’s Contribution
Kite Group supplied and installed a DDA Handrail System, powder-coated black for visibility and durability, with galvanised connectors for contrast.
Enhanced Safety: Smooth, continuous grip ensures stability on slopes and staircases.
Inclusive Design: Fully compliant with the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) and Part M of Building Regulations.
Durability: Weather-resistant construction provides long-lasting protection in outdoor environments.
Aesthetic Fit: Black powder-coated finish complements the park’s natural surroundings.
By delivering this system, Kite helped Riverside Park achieve improved accessibility, safety, and compliance, creating a welcoming space for all visitors.
