FPS Pedestrian Safety Barriers (PED LINK 150/1)
Amazon Warehouse Safety Barriers
Kite Group supplied FPS pedestrian safety barriers at Amazon’s Magna Park warehouse, protecting staff, walkways, and infrastructure from moving vehicles and collisions.
Project Overview
Milton Keynes is home to three Amazon facilities: a fulfilment centre in Ridgemont, an imaging studio at Crownhill Business Centre, and the vast Amazon Magna Park warehouse, covering more than 51,000m² — the equivalent of seven and a half football pitches.
With such a large-scale operation and high volumes of people, vehicles, and automation working side by side, ensuring safe movement of staff and goods was a top priority.
Did You Know?
The Magna Park warehouse uses more than 850 blue robots as part of its daily operations. These robots operate in a dedicated mezzanine system, creating unique safety challenges where automated and human workforces must operate seamlessly together.
Kite’s Contribution
Kite Group was selected to supply FPS Pedestrian Safety Barriers, specifically the PED LINK 150/1 system, tailored to Amazon’s requirements.
Custom Height: Manufactured at a non-standard 3087mm height to protect staff working near stacked pallets.
Reinforced Design: Base plates designed for tall barriers provided extra strength and ground stability.
Adaptability: The modular PED LINK system allows for future additions, such as corners, making it ideal for evolving warehouse layouts.
By delivering a robust, compliant, and flexible pedestrian protection system, Kite helped Amazon strengthen safety standards at one of the UK’s largest and most advanced logistics hubs.
